Top quality artificial grass laid by professionals.
Artificial grass is growing in popularity due to its low maintenance, all-year-round hardwearing properties and obvious drought-resistant properties.
From its beginnings as an all-weather sports surface ("astroturf"), improvements in the product mean that artificial grass is now used regularly in both homes and businesses as a realistic alternative to a grass lawn. As with regular turf there is a large selection of artificial turf styles, from close-tufted such as you would see on a bowling green, to medium-tufted grass looking like a freshly-mown lawn, to a multi-length pile giving a more 'uncut' look. Usually offered in various shades of green, synthetic lawn is also available in a wide range of vibrant colours to brighten up your garden or perhaps use to create an exciting and fun play area for children.

Artificial grass requires different preparation to a natural turf lawn and, when laid on earth, is typically laid on a weed membrane over a compacted surface of small stone aggregates or sharp sand. It is also possible to lay artificial grass on other surfaces. Artificial grass is best described as 'low maintenance', rather than 'no maintenance', as it does need some attention from time to time to keep it looking its best. There are a number of other considerations to take into account when deciding on a synthetic lawn, such as the need to avoid placing any hot surface (e.g. a BBQ) on the lawn without some protection and that, in full summer sun, a synthetic lawn will have a higher surface temperature than a natural grass lawn. As there are many different types of artificial grass with differing properties, feel free to call or contact us to discuss your requirements.
